3rd Party Participation

Understanding the 3rd Party Evaluator

It is crucial to stay informed if your insurance carrier requests a third party to assess the damage at your structure. These assessments can have a profound effect on your carriers coverage decision and/or payments to you. If a carrier engages a third party reviewer, it is important to communicate this to your contractor.

In some cases, the third party reviewer may have a disagreement as to the scope and / or price of the work that your contractor deems necessary. It is advisable for these two experts to promptly discuss any discrepancies rather than delaying the resolution until a later stage.
