While it may seem odd that you need to direct your carrier to communicate with your contractor, it is a necessary component in the processing of your loss.

Making your wishes known to your carrier at the beginning of your loss can help expedite the process, prevent unnecessary delays and create greater accountability for the parities who’s job it is to process your claim.

Purpose of Form

To whom it may concern:

Please consider this communication as both consent and directive to communicate with my contractor regarding their scope of work, means and methods of work, units of repairs, applicable Standards/Statues/Regulations, and/or project pricing.

At my direction, my contractor will be providing communication to myself and to you, as my carrier, regarding my loss and their professional opinion regarding activities necessary to return my structure to it's pre-loss condition. If for any reason you require any additional release or more formal directive to communicate with my contractor, please let me know immediately upon receipt of this correspondence.

My contractor is the most knowledgeable individual regarding the needs of my structure. Any failure to communicate in a timely fashion with my contractor will be considered a delay caused in service of your adjusting activities on my project and therefore, a reimbursable carrier initiated expense.
